Americans Avoid Dating Certain Zodiac Signs: Survey Insights
While the quest for true love might seem like a cosmic journey, it's crucial to tread carefully to avoid getting scorched by the stars. A recent survey of 2,000 Americans has unveiled that a significant portion of them, about one-third, have sworn off dating certain zodiac signs, with Geminis topping the list of the most undateable.
If you are a Cancer, Taurus, Aries, or Leo, it might be wise to approach your romantic endeavors with caution, as these signs closely follow Gemini in the rankings of undateable zodiac signs.
Despite having reservations about certain signs, 42% of those surveyed confessed to consulting astrological insights to gauge compatibility with their partners. Conducted by OnePoll for Diamondère, the study highlighted that nearly half (48%) of participants regularly turn to horoscopes for guidance in their love lives, with advice such as trusting one's heart, maintaining honesty, and exercising patience being popular.
Astrology's Influence on Gift-Giving
Many respondents (62%) believe their relationships are unique and defy conventional norms. More than half (56%) admitted to facing challenges when it comes to selecting the perfect gift, regardless of the recipient or occasion.
Astrology also plays a significant role in gift-giving, with half of the participants having purchased birthstone jewelry as a present, and 37% having received such gifts. Jewelry emerged as a favored meaningful gift, with stories of charm bracelets symbolizing important relationship milestones and rings featuring personal engravings.
"The 'perfect' gift, much like most relationships, is unique and personal," remarked Anish Godha, President of Diamondère. "Birthstones and engravings add a personal touch to gifts for loved ones, whether for a partner, friend, or parent."
Dreams of Romantic Moments
The survey also delved into romantic aspirations, revealing that seven in ten Americans long for a "movie magic" kiss at least once in their lifetime. On average, participants have experienced seven magical romantic moments, with 14% having only one or two.
Nearly a quarter (22%) have enjoyed over ten such moments. The most coveted movie magic moment remains the iconic kiss in the rain from "The Notebook." Other aspirations include the "I'm flying" scene from "Titanic," a proposal akin to Mr. Darcy's in "Pride and Prejudice," and the upside-down kiss from "Spider-Man."
Three in ten respondents expressed a desire to recreate the steamy car scene from "Titanic," while nearly a quarter (23%) dream of performing the iconic lift from "Dirty Dancing." One respondent shared a moment reminiscent of "Casablanca," where a partner surprised them with roses at the airport before a flight.
"A magical moment doesn't always have to be movie-worthy," added Godha. "Often, it's in the little things, like a kiss on a bad day or a call to check in with a friend or relative."
